The RappAlumni website and the Rappahannock Alumni Association is firmly committed to protecting your privacy. We have developed this privacy policy as a demonstration of that commitment. The following describes our information gathering and dissemination practices.
Data Collection
By visiting the RappAlumni website, the browser you are using automatically provides our web server with the date and time, the IP address from which you are accessing the RappAlumni website, the type of browser and operating system you are using, the URL of any page that referred you to our site, the URL you requested, and a code indicating whether or not your request was successful. All of this information is logged by our web server and is only used for statistical purposes and to identify potentially malicious activity.
Data Use
Our purpose for collecting contact information from graduates of Rappahannock County High School is to notify them of alumni activities. All personal data voluntarily provided is stored in a manner that protects it against unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion according to its sensitivity. All information requested is optional; however we do require a valid email address for verification purposes. We will never sell, rent, or lease your contact information to any third party outside of the Rappahannock Alumni Association and the Rappahannock County School System. You have the option to make this information private in which case it will only be visible to the RappAlumni staff. You may opt out of being contacted by the Rappahannock Alumni Association altogether and still enjoy all the other benefits of the RappAlumni website.
